A Black Country Christmas - Robin Pearson

A Black Country Christmas, compiled by Robin Pearson, published by Alan Sutton Publishing in 1992. This paperback anthology brings together festive writing linked to the Black Country, drawing on authors such as Charles Dickens, Jerome K. Jerome, William Shenstone and Francis Brett Young, alongside recollections of Christmas in local workhouses and industrial settings. It includes black and white photographs and line drawings within the text.

The cover shows a night-time winter scene with a lit inn, figures and horses in snow, with the title in black on a red panel bordered in yellow. The spine carries the title and compiler's name in white on red. The back cover gives a summary of the contents, ISBN and price.

The covers show light surface wear and some scuffing to the edges, with minor handling marks. The spine remains square. Page edges are clean. The text block appears tightly bound with no visible damage.
