A Sportsman's Fireside Memories - T. P. Beaven

A Sportsman's Fireside Memories by T. P. Beaven, published by Heath Cranton Limited, first published in 1940. The book includes ten full page pencil drawings by Algernon Thompson, the well-known sporting artist, and the cover bears a pencil-style drawing of a gun dog with a pheasant. The author is also noted as the writer of "A Sportsman Looks Back".

This is a hardback copy, with the original pictorial dust wrapper present. The wrapper shows considerable wear, with chipping and loss to the spine ends and corners, tears along the edges, and old tape repairs visible at the spine. The cloth boards beneath are a plain tan colour with some marking to the lower edge. The spine of the wrapper is worn and partially torn. Internally, the sample pages shown have age-toned paper, with clear text and illustrations reproduced cleanly.
