British Industries Fair 1951 Birmingham Catalogue - Engineering & Hardware Section, Castle Bromwich - Birmingham Chamber of Commerce / Board of Trade

British Industries Fair 1951, the official catalogue for the Birmingham showing of the fair, covering the Engineering and Hardware Section held from 30th April to 11th May. It was organised by the Chamber of Commerce, Birmingham, in collaboration with the Board of Trade, and printed by C. Tinling & Co. Ltd under the authority of His Majesty's Stationery Office.

The card covers carry the BIF gear-wheel device and bold red and blue titling to the front, with a full-page advertisement for pressure cookers and aluminium holloware to the rear. The spine shows the title, section and the original price of 2/6. Internally the pages are of plain stock, with period advertisements for engineering and construction firms alongside the alphabetical list of exhibitors and show information for the West Entrance.

The covers show noticeable creasing, surface soiling and wear to the extremities, with a small split beginning at the lower front edge. The spine shows some rubbing and loss at the head and foot.
