Encyclopedia of Medieval Church Art - Edward G. Tasker

Encyclopedia of Medieval Church Art by Edward G. Tasker, edited by John Beaumont, published in paperback by B.T. Batsford in 1993.

This reference work examines medieval church art across English cathedrals and churches, covering wood and stone carvings, stained glass and wall paintings. It is organised into sections including the Old Testament, New Testament, St Mary the Virgin, the Godhead, the Church, creatures natural and mythical, everyday scenes, and the Saints, illustrated throughout with black and white photographs.

The cover is purple with yellow and white lettering, featuring a stained-glass image. The spine text reads "Mediaeval Church Art", differing in spelling from the cover and title page, which both use "Medieval". A library stamp and shelf number sticker appear on the title page and spine. The back cover shows a publisher's price sticker partly obscuring the printed text. Corner and edge wear is visible on the cover, with a small crease near the spine on the back.
