Horse and Hound Year Book 1951-52 - Hunting, Racing & Showing Annual - Horse and Hound

Horse and Hound Year Book, covering the 1951-52 season, published by Odhams Press Limited of London.

This is a dark blue hardback with the title and year blocked in gilt on the front cover and spine, the spine also carrying the publisher's name, Odhams. The boards show some light surface marking and a small mark near the top edge of the front cover, with a faint crease visible lower down. Corners and edges show handling wear consistent with age.

Inside, the title page confirms the publication details as above. The book opens into a Bloodstock Section with a photographic plate and text on cream paper, and further into the Foxhounds directory and Show Directory sections, both illustrated with black and white photographs of horses and riders. The paper has a light, even tone with no heavy staining visible in the photographed pages.
