Hunting: An Introductory Handbook - R. W. F. Poole

Hunting: An Introductory Handbook by R. W. F. Poole, published by David & Charles, Newton Abbot, first published 1988 with this being the second impression of 1989. A hardback with illustrated covers showing a huntsman on horseback with hounds, line illustrations by Alastair Jackson throughout the text, and black and white photographs within.

The cover retains good, bright colour and sharp lettering, with the hunting scene clear on the front board. The spine shows the title and author legibly with no fading noted. The back cover carries a photograph of a hound and the publisher's details with the ISBN.

Internally, the copyright page is clean and legible, with the dedication and illustration credits present. A sample page shows cream-coloured paper with crisp black text and a line drawing. The page edges and boards appear sound and square, with no tears or losses visible in the photographs.
