Impressionism - Pierre Courthion
Impressionism by Pierre Courthion, published by Harry N. Abrams in 1977. A large hardback survey of Impressionist painting, with colour reproductions of works by artists including Manet, Sisley and Morisot, each accompanied by descriptive text. The cover illustration is a detail from a Renoir portrait of a young girl.
The copyright page lists two ISBNs: 0-8109-2067-0 and 0-8109-1112-4.
The dust jacket shows notable wear, with tearing and loss to the paper at the top corners of the front panel, and a torn section at the foot of the spine panel. The spine panel itself has lifted and worn edges. The front cover otherwise displays the illustration and title clearly. The back cover shows a continuation of the floral and foliage illustration alongside a plain panel with the Abrams logo. Internal pages seen are clean, with text and plates well reproduced on white paper.
