Our Exploits at West Poley by Thomas Hardy, published by Oxford University Press. The title page confirms the present edition was first published in October 1952, following a limited first edition in book form the previous month. The cover illustration, by Lynton Lamb, shows a cave interior with two figures, in black and pink tones, with the title and author lettered in pale green and cream.

The dustwrapper shows noticeable wear, with chipping and loss along the top and bottom edges of the spine and at the corners, exposing the underlying card in places. The spine panel itself remains legible with clear lettering. The rear panel is plain and unmarked in the photograph. Internally, the paper is cream coloured, and the printed text is clear on the pages shown, including the introduction and opening chapter. The name 'Susan' appears handwritten on the endpaper. No other marks or damage are visible in the photographs provided.
