Steel at Brierley Hill 1857-1957, written by Collie Knox and published in 1957 by Newman Neame (Northern) Limited for Round Oak Steel Works Limited, Brierley Hill, Staffordshire. This is a company history commemorating a century of steelmaking at the Round Oak works, illustrated with black and white photographs of the works, furnace teams and machinery.

The hardback has a black dust jacket decorated with an orange scrollwork border around the title, with a night-time photograph of the steelworks below. The jacket has significant loss and tearing, particularly along the top edge and spine, with pieces missing and tape repairs visible on the rear panel and spine base. The spine lettering remains legible.

Internally the pages appear clean with clear black and white photographic plates. A loose centenary presentation card is laid in, reading "Compliments of the Board of Directors", bearing the company name and the dates 1857-1957.
