The British Sailor by Kenneth Poolman, part of the Experiences of War series, published by Arms and Armour Press in 1989. A hardback account drawing on firsthand recollections of Royal Navy service, illustrated with photographs of medals, documents, badges and a cap tally from HMS Ark Royal on the cover, and further period photographs inside relating to ships including HMS Courageous and HMS Kelly.

The dust jacket shows notable wear, with a chip and creasing at the base of the spine and general rubbing and scuffing to the surface. The spine panel has toning and a library-style shelf number sticker applied. Internally the text block appears age-toned, consistent with its date, with printed pages clear and photographic plates reproduced in black and white. The copyright page confirms the 1989 first publication details and ISBN 0-85368-992-X.
