The Fastest Men on Earth - Paul Clifton

The Fastest Men on Earth by Paul Clifton, published by Herbert Jenkins in 1964. This hardback tells the story of the men and cars that broke the world land speed record, with a list of record holders from Great Britain, the United States, France, Belgium and Australia printed on the rear of the dust jacket.

The dust jacket is orange and black, with white and black lettering and a photographic image to the lower half. There is rubbing and some loss to the spine ends and corners of the jacket, along with light surface marking. The spine panel carries the title and publisher's name.

Internally, the book includes black and white photographic plates illustrating record-breaking cars and drivers, with accompanying text and specification details. The page edges show some browning and foxing spots are visible along the edges.
