With the Jocks: A Solidier's Struggle for Europe 1944-45 - Peter White

With the Jocks: A Soldier's Struggle for Europe 1944-45 by Peter White, published by Sutton Publishing in 2001, with a foreword by Sir John Keegan. This hardback with pictorial dust jacket recounts the author's wartime service, drawing on his own letters and sketches from the campaign in north-west Europe in 1944-45. The jacket features a wartime photograph of a soldier walking through a ruined street, and the back carries a reproduction of one of the author's pencil sketches alongside a quote from Keegan.

The dust jacket shows some edge and corner wear, with light creasing and a small mark near the base of the spine. The text block edges have developed some foxing, visible as scattered spotting along the page edges. Internally, the pages photographed are clean and legibly printed, with no obvious staining or damage. The book stands square and the boards appear solid beneath the jacket.
