A Source Book of Traction Engines by Denis Miller, published in 1983 by Ward Lock. The book is a reference title illustrating a range of traction engines with black and white photographs, drawings and accompanying descriptive text, including examples such as the Class A 6nhp DCC Traction Centre Engine and the DCC 4-wheel Drive "Undertype" Traction Engine.

The cover shows a colour photograph of a green traction engine, "Lord Charlie", with the title in green lettering on a white spine panel and matching green cloth to the spine and top edge. The back cover carries the original price sticker and barcode.
