A Taste of Freedom - Robert Jackson
A Taste of Freedom by Robert Jackson, published by Four Square Books in 1966, as noted on the copyright page as the first Four Square edition, following earlier publication by Arthur Barker Limited in 1964. The paperback cover shows a cover illustration of a man in prisoner garb with a small swastika motif, set against a purple background, describing the accounts of enemy prisoners of war who escaped from camps in Britain during the Second World War. The back cover carries further descriptive text over a barbed wire illustration.
The covers show noticeable wear, with creasing, rubbing to the edges and corners, and a chip visible to the lower corner of the front cover. The spine is worn with some colour loss to the lettering. Page edges have browned with age, consistent with the paper elsewhere in the book. Internal pages appear tanned but legible.
