Art and Reality: An Essay in the Philosophy of Aesthetics, by Greville Cooke, published in London by Joseph Williams, Limited, 1929. This is a stiff paper cover booklet, with a foreword by J. B. McEwen of the Royal Academy of Music. The title page shows the original price structure for paper covers, cloth boards, and the full gilt cloth edition, with a stamped revised price of 3/6 net.

The cover is plain card with a printed title panel, now toned and marked with scuffing to the extremities and a small closed tear at the lower edge of the front panel. The spine shows wear along its length with a crease near the head. The back cover is unmarked aside from general toning. Internally, the pages are lightly age-toned with a small mark near the top corner of one leaf, and the text is clear and legible.
