Basic Instruments and Selected Documents, Volume III: Text of the General Agreement in force 1958. Published by The Contracting Parties to the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade, Geneva, November 1958, and printed in Switzerland. The volume sets out the text of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade as it stood that year, including articles such as Article VI on anti-dumping and countervailing duties.

The covers are a plain dark grey card with white printed lettering to the front and spine, titled GATT - Basic Instruments - Volume III along the spine. The spine shows wear at the head and tail, with some splitting and fraying to the cloth there. The front cover has a small crease and nick at one corner. The title page carries a handwritten annotation at the top. Internal pages are cream in tone, with a handwritten annotation also visible in the margin of the printed text. A list of sales agents for United Nations and GATT publications appears near the back, giving a contemporary price of US $1.00.
