Les Guides Rouges: Côte-d'Azur, Provence, Corse, Riviera Italienne, published by Éditions Baneton-Thiolier in Paris. This is one of their regional touring guides, numbered 16 on the spine, covering itineraries, hotels, restaurants and garages for the region, with town plans, maps and photographic illustrations throughout the sample pages shown. The copyright page states "créés en 1906" and marks this as the 51e année of the series.

The red paper-covered boards show considerable wear, with heavy creasing and cracking across the front and back covers, a split along part of the spine, and rubbing to the corners and edges. The spine lettering remains legible. Internally, the paper is tanned with age, consistent with its vintage, and the sample pages show period advertisements, route maps and town plans alongside black and white photographs.
