Destroyers at War - Gregory Haines

Destroyers at War by Gregory Haines, published in 1982 by Book Club Associates in arrangement with Ian Allan Ltd. This hardback history looks at destroyer actions, illustrated with wartime photographs and a cover painting by Robert Taylor, HMS Kelly in the Western Approaches, 1941, reproduced by permission of the Military Gallery Limited.

The dust jacket shows the cover illustration above a white panel with the title in orange lettering, and the back carries three black and white photographs of destroyers at sea. The spine lettering is intact, though the jacket shows some creasing and rubbing at the head and foot.

Internally, a page near the front endpaper bears a handwritten signature in ink. The text pages shown are clean and legible, with black and white photographic plates printed on lightly toned paper, and a passage of first-hand wartime testimony reproduced in the text.
