Discovering Industrial Archaeology and History - Hugh Bodey
Discovering Industrial Archaeology and History by Hugh Bodey was published by Shire Publications in 1975, number 210 in their Discovering series. This paperback covers the industrial history of Britain, with a gazetteer, glossary and bibliography, plus a section on museums. The cover design is by Ron Shaddock, combining photographs with line illustrations of machinery and industrial buildings.
The front cover shows a photographic and illustrated design in cream, brown and black, with some creasing visible at the top corner. The spine carries the title and author in small print on the cream background. The back cover gives a description of the book and the author, with the original price of 75p printed at the foot. Internally, the pages are cream in colour, with clear black print and black and white photographic plates, including an eighteenth-century water-powered forge and a thatched farmhouse.
