Fighter Pilot

Fighter Pilot is a wartime hardback published by B. T. Batsford Ltd. of London in 1941, subtitled "A Personal Record of the Campaign in France, September 8th, 1939, to June 13th, 1940". The copyright page confirms it was first published in September 1941 and reprinted twice that same month, with a further reprint in October 1941. The text is illustrated with black and white photographic plates, including shots of pilots and dispersal points, printed on plain paper.

The blue cloth cover carries the title in dark lettering on the front and spine, with the author's name shown on the spine only. The covers show general wear with some surface marking and a small chip to the head of the spine. The corners are bumped and show some wear. A loose thread is visible near the edge of the rear board.
