Fire in the Night: Wingate of Burma, Ethiopia, and Zion is a biography by John Bierman and Colin Smith, published by Macmillan in 2000 (first published by Random House in 1999). This hardback edition covers Orde Wingate's career in Burma, Ethiopia and Palestine, illustrated with black and white photographs including images of Wingate himself, his Special Night Squads, and Captain Tony Simonds of the Gideon Force.

The dust jacket shows a photographic cover portrait of Wingate in uniform, with a black spine bearing gilt and white lettering. The rear panel carries review quotations for the authors' other works. There is some wear to the jacket, with a small area of damage visible near the spine on one of the photograph pages where tape appears to have been used for repair. The text block and photographic plates are clean and legible, printed on white paper.
