First Case - James Patterson
1st Case by James Patterson and Chris Tebbetts, published in paperback by Arrow Books.
Angela Hoot is offered an internship with the FBI after being kicked off her graduate programme at MIT, and is thrown into her first case investigating a family murdered in the Boston suburbs, with a recovered phone potentially holding the key.
The cover shows a figure in an FBI jacket walking down a dimly lit street at night. There is noticeable wear to the cover corners and edges, with some rubbing and small marks visible on the black background, particularly towards the top and right-hand side of the front. The spine is yellow with black lettering and shows a little handling wear. The back cover carries a plot summary, a quote from Lee Child, and a price sticker from a hospice shop. Internal pages appear cream in colour with clear, readable print, consistent with a well-handled paperback.
