The paperback shows a worn cover with creasing and rubbing to the edges and spine, including some wear visible at the head and foot of the spine. The front cover has visible scuffing and a faint crease. Pages seen are cream in tone with clear, dark print, and a black and white photograph of Captain Philip Neame VC appears on one of the inner pages alongside text from the 1916 section.
