A revised edition paperback running to 256 pages, fully illustrated in line, covering flower, fruit and vegetable gardening with a week-by-week guide to tasks throughout the seasons, including compost gardening.

The cover is bright yellow with green and black lettering and a colour photograph of a tulip border. It shows scuffing and soiling to the edges and corners, with some wear along the spine. The spine text remains legible.

Internally, the paper has browned to a warm cream shade typical of the period, with black text and occasional line diagrams illustrating gardening techniques such as tree planting and bean sowing. The title page and text pages appear intact, with no major tears noted in the photographs.
