Giles Cartoons 1999 - Fifty Second Series

Giles Cartoons 1999 - Fifty Second Series, published by Pedigree Books under licence from Express Newspapers, priced £6.99 on the title page.

This paperback annual collects cartoons originally published in the Daily Express and Sunday Express, drawn from across the decades of the strip, with dates shown alongside each cartoon and captions beneath. The colourful cover shows the family decorating for a party, and the introduction is credited to John Challis.

The covers are bright and the spine text is clear and legible, with only light wear at the spine tips. The paper inside is cream-toned, and the black and white cartoon reproductions are crisp and well defined. The copyright page confirms this is the Fifty Second Series, printed in Italy, with Giles characters copyright 1998 Express Newspapers plc.
