Green Fingers - Reginald Arkell

Green Fingers by Reginald Arkell, subtitled "A Present for a Good Gardener", published by Herbert Jenkins Limited. This is the twenty-third printing, with illustrations pictured by Eugène Hastain throughout the front matter, including a decorative title page vignette and a verse dedication "To My Landlord" signed Richmond, August 1934.

The dust jacket carries the title in green lettering with an orange sun motif, and a line illustration of a figure pushing a roller, with worm and lizard illustrations along the base. The rear panel and spine advertise companion volumes More Green Fingers and Green Fingers Again.

The dust jacket shows heavy overall staining and discolouration, with tears and losses to the spine ends and corners, and a closed tear to the front panel edge. The title page and adjoining leaves show brown foxing and staining marks.
