Gulliver's Travels - Jonathan Swift
Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift, published by The Children's Press, London and Glasgow, part of the Boys' and Girls' Library Classics series. This impression dated 1967.
The cover illustration shows Gulliver standing among the tiny inhabitants of Lilliput, in a green coat, red waistcoat and blue breeches, with the title in red script against a yellow background. The rear panel lists other titles in the same series.
The book opens with a letter from Captain Gulliver to his cousin Sympson, printed on cream paper.
Externally the covers show noticeable wear, with damage and fraying visible at the spine ends and along the front edge, where the binding material has lifted and split. The corners are rubbed and the spine cloth is worn. The overall image on the boards remains bright and legible despite this wear.
