Hare-Hunting and Harriers by H. A. Bryden, published by Grant Richards, London, 1903. Part of The Hunting Library series, illustrated from photographs by R. B. Lodge and others, with notices of beagles and basset hounds included in the text.

The book is bound in red cloth, with the title and a crossed hunting horns and whip device blocked in black on the front board, and the title, author and publisher lettered in gilt on the spine. The frontispiece is an engraving of William Somervile, author of 'The Chace', and retains its tissue guard.

The cloth shows general rubbing and some fading, with a lighter patch visible on the front board and marks to the rear board. Corners and spine ends are worn, with some fraying at the head of the spine. The page edges are untrimmed and browned, and the leaves shown display scattered foxing and spotting.
