Industrial Archaeology of Staffordshire - Robert Sherlock
Industrial Archaeology of Staffordshire by Robert Sherlock, published by David & Charles in 1976. This hardback forms part of the Industrial Archaeology of the British Isles series edited by Dr E.R.R. Green, and surveys the county's industrial heritage, with photographic plates including the bottle kilns of the Potteries and an ornamental bridge.
The cover features a two-tone design with a colour photograph of kilns and a black and white image of a bridge on the front board, with the series list printed on the back cover. The spine is blue with white lettering and the David & Charles logo at the foot.
Internally the paper has browned a little with age, as seen on the text pages photographed, and there is light toning to the edges of the text block. The front free endpaper carries a handwritten Christmas inscription dated 1986. The boards and spine show only light wear.
