International Law and the Environment - Patricia W. Birnie and Alan E. Boyle
International Law and the Environment by Patricia W. Birnie and Alan E. Boyle, published by Oxford University Press (Clarendon Press).
This substantial paperback examines the principles and structure of international law as it relates to protection of the natural environment. The cover illustration reproduces medieval miniatures depicting Old Testament scenes, Paris, circa 1250, from the Pierpont Morgan Library.
The black cover shows notable wear, with scuffing, rubbing to the edges and corners, a crease to the top right corner, and a visible crack line running through the front cover text. The spine remains legible with the title and authors' names clearly readable. The text block edges show some discolouration and the page ends appear slightly toned. The copyright page and internal text pages are clear and readable, printed on white paper with standard black type. No dust jacket is present, this being a paperback edition. The overall appearance reflects a well used reading copy.
