Intrigue in the Village - Rebecca Shaw

Intrigue in the Village by Rebecca Shaw, published by Orion Fiction. This is the tenth novel in the Turnham Malpas series, following the villagers as they gather for a celebration at the Big House that turns out to mark an unexpected wedding, and later as preparations begin for the school's hundred and fiftieth anniversary. The paperback includes a list of inhabitants of Turnham Malpas and an illustrated map of the village at the front, and the cover painting is by John Hancock.

The cover shows a watercolour-style illustration of a woman cycling through a village landscape beneath a blue sky. The pages have toned to a cream/yellow shade consistent with age. The spine shows some wear at the head and tail, with a little colour loss visible. The front cover has a small crease near the top edge. Text and illustrations throughout the sampled pages are clear and legible.
