Ward Lock's Red Guide to London, published by Ward, Lock & Co., Limited of London, Melbourne and Johannesburg. This is the sixty-second edition, part of the publisher's long-running series of Red Guides to holiday resorts and cities of the British Isles.

The hardback has the familiar Red Guide dustjacket design, with a red and yellow banner and a photographic cover image of the Shaftesbury Memorial fountain. The spine shows wear to the top corner, with some rubbing and a small area of loss to the paper. The jacket edges show general shelf wear and light creasing.

Inside, the book includes a fold-out map of London and twelve miles round, plan of Central London sections, an underground map, and further loosely inserted map sheets showing outer areas. These inserts are not fixed into the binding. The pages shown are clean and legible, with black and white text and illustrations, plus a colour fold-out plan showing the docks.
