Modern Patchwork by Margaret Agutter, published by Sir Isaac Pitman & Sons, Ltd., first published 1949. Part of Pitman's Craft for All Series. A small hardback with tan boards and a green cloth spine, the title printed on the front cover above a small decorative illustration.

The copyright page confirms the first published date of 1949 and lists the associated Pitman offices in London, Bath, Melbourne, Johannesburg, New York, Chicago and Toronto.

Inside, the text pages are cream-toned with black print, including diagrams illustrating patchwork star patterns and appliqué designs.

The boards show some general surface marking and light spotting, with a small stain visible near the top corner of the front cover. The spine cloth shows a little wear at the head and tail. The back cover is plain and shows similar light marking consistent with age.
