Oxford Past and Present is a pictorial record of the city of Oxford, compiled by C.W. Judge and published by the Oxford Illustrated Press. The front cover shows a tinted photograph of Magdalen Bridge and tower with horse-drawn traffic, while the back cover carries a sepia-toned street scene. The copyright page confirms printing in the City of Oxford by B.H. Blackwell Ltd, 1970, reprinted 1971 and 1974, with SBN 902280 00 7.

Inside, the book pairs older black and white photographs with more recent views of the same Oxford streets, printed on white paper with clear black text and captions beneath the images.

The hardback covers show some shelf wear and light rubbing at the edges and spine ends. The spine lettering remains legible. There is a small mark to the upper right of the back cover image. Corners show light bumping consistent with handling.
