Poems - Charlotte Elliott

Selections from the Poems of Charlotte Elliott, author of "Just As I Am", with a memoir by her sister, E. B. Published in London by the Religious Tract Society. The green cloth cover is decoratively blocked in black and gilt, with "Poems by Charlotte Elliott" to the front and "With a Memoir" below, and a lyre motif in gilt at centre. The spine repeats the title and author in gilt against the same black ornamental pattern. The rear board is plain, with a blind-blocked floral motif.

The text pages are cream in tone, printed with decorative page headings. A printed portrait faces the title page, with the signature "Charlotte Elliott" beneath it. A small binder's label reading "Bound by Westleys & Co, London" is present on an inner page.

Externally the cloth shows wear to the spine ends and corners, with some fraying. Foxing is visible on the endpapers, with scattered brown spotting.
