Remember when - Robert Opie

Remember When by Robert Opie, published by Mitchell Beazley in 1999. A large hardback nostalgia book looking at consumer culture, packaging, advertising and toys from Victorian times onward, illustrated throughout with photographs of original items such as toys, annuals, magazines and household objects.

The cover is bright and busy with colour photographs of collectable items including a Dalek toy, a Rubik's cube, Spangles packaging and a Raleigh Chopper bicycle, against cream and red panels. The spine shows the title and author in red lettering on cream and red backgrounds, with a small Marathon bar sticker. The back cover continues the pattern of collectable item photographs with a brief description of the book's contents.

Internally, the sample page shown is clean white paper with colour photographs and text printed in black, covering children's comic characters of the 1920s. The copyright page is present and legible, giving publication details and ISBN.
