Return of the Tiger - Brian Connell

Return of the Tiger by Brian Connell is a Pan Books paperback account of Operation Vengeance, the raid by British and Australian servicemen on Japanese-held Singapore led by Ivan Lyon. First published in 1960 by Evans Brothers Ltd, this Pan Books edition dates from 1971.

The cover shows an illustration of servicemen armed with rifles against a backdrop of a Japanese flag and harbour cranes. The front cover is heavily worn, with surface creasing, soiling, and a tear near the top edge. The spine shows wear and splitting at the head and foot. The back cover carries publisher review quotes and pricing details, and is similarly marked and worn with soiling visible at the top corner.

Internally, the paper has browned with age, consistent with its date. The copyright page confirms original and current publication details. A sample interior page shows clear, legible print with some toning to the paper edges.
