Shropshire & Herefordshire Villages by George H. Haines, published by Robert Hale in 1974. This is part of The Village Series, with other titles in the range listed on the rear of the dust jacket. The book is a hardback with a colour photographic cover image of a village scene, and the text is illustrated with black and white photographs by the author, as seen on the sample page showing Telford's Montford Bridge and the test bridge at Longdon upon Tern.

The dust jacket shows considerable wear, with chipping and loss to the head and foot of the spine and corners, and a tear to the lower front panel. The spine of the jacket is sun-toned to orange. The title page carries a library stamp and withdrawal stamp from Hereford and Worcester County Libraries, along with a handwritten accession number. The text block appears firmly bound, and the paper shown is clean with clear black print.
