The Book of the Ford Capri - Staton Abbey

£11.18

The Book of the Ford Capri by Staton Abbey, published by Pitman Publishing in 1971 as part of The Pitman Motorists' Library. This is a hardback workshop and maintenance handbook covering the Capri 1300, 1300 GT, 1600, 1600 GT, 2000 GT and 3000 GT models up to August 1970, with sections on servicing, adjustment and repair illustrated with diagrams and photographs including the carburettor and petrol pump.

The front cover shows a photograph of a Capri parked beneath bare trees, with the title and author in white lettering. The spine carries the title and author along its length, with a handwritten Dewey number, 629.2222, on a worn label near the base. The rear cover gives a brief summary of the contents and the original price.

Inside, the copyright page bears an accession stamp reading 841141 and the Dewey number repeated in ink. The text pages shown are clean with clear print and technical diagrams. The spine label and corners show some wear consistent with handling.
