The Children of Dunseverick - Vivienne Draper
The Children of Dunseverick by Vivienne Draper, first published in 1994 by Brandon Book Publishers. This is a paperback memoir recalling a childhood spent at Dunseverick rectory on the north Antrim coast, with a view of Rathlin Island, in the 1920s. The cover illustration is Evening, Ballycastle, c.1924 by Frank McKelvey.
The front cover shows the title in stylised lettering over a coastal scene of cliffs, cottages and figures on a beach. The back cover carries a description of the book and publication details, including the ISBN and price. The spine shows the title and author in red and blue lettering on a pale ground.
The copyright page bears a library stamp and withdrawal marking, along with a handwritten price. The text pages seen are cream in colour with a line drawing illustrating a rope bridge scene, and the print is clear. There is some wear to the cover surface with light marks and a small area of damage near the base of the spine.
