The Golden Treasury with Additional Poems - F.T. Palgrave

A compact hardback edition of The Golden Treasury with Additional Poems, compiled by F.T. Palgrave, bound in maroon leather-effect covers with no title lettering visible on the spine or boards. The anthology gathers verse from poets including William Drummond, Shakespeare, Michael Drayton, John Milton and Robert Burns, each poem numbered and printed with the poet's name below.

The text is set in clear, close print on cream-toned paper, with headers giving the poet's name and page number. No publisher or date could be read from the copyright page shown.

The covers show noticeable wear to the corners and spine ends, with the material worn through to reveal the board beneath at the top corners and along the spine edges. The boards are otherwise sound and square, with a slight downward taper visible when the book is stood upright. Page edges are age-toned, consistent with a well-used copy.
