The Midland Genealogical Directory, published by the Birmingham & Midland Society for Genealogy & Heraldry in December 1991. This paperback volume lists the names and addresses of the Society's members, together with the genealogical interests of those who subscribed to this edition. A small heraldic crest and partial family tree appear on the front cover.

The cover is printed in bright yellow with black lettering. Internal pages are white, printed in a clear typewriter-style font, with entries arranged in numbered columns giving names, addresses and reference numbers.

The covers show light handling marks and a faint diagonal crease near the top of the front cover. The spine is unmarked and square. Corners appear slightly softened at the edges but remain intact. The text block appears square and the pages seen are clean, with no foxing visible in the photographs.
