The Moors
The Moors, part of The Country Treasury Collection, published by Marshall Cavendish in 1991. This volume forms the Autumn section of the series, alongside The Orchard, The Farmland, The Wood, The Downs and The Harbour. It brings together poetry and prose with accompanying illustrations, including The Ballad of the Dark Ladie by Samuel Taylor Coleridge paired with a reproduced painting.
The hardback is bound in dark green cloth with the Country Treasury emblem and a cover illustration, Butterflies among the heather by Albert Durer Lucas, blocked in gilt on the front board. The spine carries the title THE MOORS in gilt lettering. The pages inside are cream in tone, with clear black print and a colour plate visible on the sample opening shown.
Condition is graded very good. The boards show light shelf wear at the corners and spine ends, with a small mark near the top edge of the front cover, but the covers remain sound and the gilt lettering is bright and legible.
Condition: Very good
