The Wild Red Deer of Exmoor - E. R. Lloyd

The Wild Red Deer of Exmoor by E. R. Lloyd, published by The Exmoor Press as part of the Microstudy series (Microstudy A1). This is the enlarged second edition, dated 1975 on the copyright page.

The paperback cover features a black and white photograph of a stag lying in moorland grass, with the title and author in black type on an orange-brown banner. The spine carries the same title and author in black lettering on the orange-brown background, and the back cover is plain with a small publisher's logo and a 75p price circle.

Inside, the contents page lists chapters covering the deer's habitat, description, life-cycle, food, hunting and deer control, and watching and photographing deer, with text printed on cream paper and several black and white photographic plates of stags and hinds.

The cover shows rubbing and wear to the edges and corners, with some creasing and a small area of damage at the top corner. The spine shows wear and a crease near the head.
