The Young Horse: Breaking and Training by Jennie Loriston-Clarke, published by David & Charles, first published 1995. A hardback guide to handling and training young horses, covering early handling, lungeing, long-reining, backing, early jumping lessons and riding out, illustrated throughout with colour and black and white photographs.

The green cloth boards show wear at the corners and along the spine ends, with a small area of splitting at the top of the spine and some scuffing to the cloth. The dust jacket carries the cover images and text as photographed, with some rubbing and light marks visible on the front and back panels. The top edge of the text block shows brown foxing spots, visible along the fanned page edges. Internally, the sample page shown has clean, unmarked paper with the photographs and text reproducing clearly. The copyright page confirms the 1995 first publication and David & Charles imprint, with ISBN 0 7153 0192 6.
