Vintage Anne’s Terrible Good Nature E V Lucas 1970 Hardback Gollancz
Anne's Terrible Good Nature by E. V. Lucas, published by Gollancz as part of their Revivals series, edited by Gillian Avery. This hardback collects short stories with a pen and ink cover illustration showing figures in period dress outside an arched building, set against an orange and cream cover design.
The dust jacket shows wear along the top edge and corners, with some rubbing and a small mark visible on the front panel. The spine end appears slightly frayed. Internally, the paper is cream in tone. The text pages show clean printed type, with story titles set on their own divider pages before each tale begins. The rear flap carries further notes on the author and the Revivals series, and the back cover lists other uniform volumes in the same series.
Overall this is a well presented copy of an Edwardian-era children's collection, revived in this 1970s hardback edition, showing the handling wear typical of a book of this age.
