World War
World at War by Robin Cross, published by Mustard in 1999. This large-format hardback presents the history of both World Wars through photographs, with accompanying text and captions covering the major campaigns and theatres of conflict.
The book has a black cover with gilt lettering and a framed photographic image of a soldier silhouetted against flames on the front board. The spine carries the title and author in matching gilt type, with the publisher's logo at the foot.
Internally, the copyright page shows the book was printed in Italy, with picture credits listed below. The sample opening shown, covering the Fall of France, has white paper with black and white photographic illustrations and printed text in good register.
Wear is consistent with a secondhand hardback of this size and age, with some light surface marking visible to the front board. The corners and edges appear sound in the photographs.
