Veneering

Veneering, by Edward W. Hobbs (Vickers Gold Medallist), revised by David Slater, published by Cassell & Co. Ltd, part of the Cassell Work Handbooks series. This edition was completely revised in 1953, the book having first been published in 1934. Illustrated with diagrams throughout the sample pages shown, including working drawings for cabinet and box construction.

The cover has a bold pink and black design with a photographic image of hands working with a veneer knife, and the title set within an illustrated metal plate design. The spine is coloured maroon with the title in cream lettering and the original price of 4/6 net printed near the base.

Condition is graded Good. The spine shows some wear and a small area of loss at the head. The front cover has a crease near the top edge. Interior pages photographed show cream paper with light spotting in places.
